Driver of the Fly by Night Slow Train (Anywhere / Anywhen - Taking Our Time).
364 days a year, he steers the Train wherever people need to go. But he's *always* home for Christmas. So here my search begins, as I surely need a Miracle.
Mira looked up at the huge building in front of them. “Mama, it has my name!” she said. Mama looked up and saw what her daughter was looking at. “Indeed it does, my miracle Mira.” She smiled wistfully. “And perhaps we shall be grand enough someday to stay there.”
Ethereal notes began. A guitar with carved symbols shimmered into view, then strumming fingers, then a man in a suit. Across the street a building formed, with "Grand Miracle Hotel" above its flowered front. Slowly it all faded. The last note hung in the air until it too was gone.
For each who entered, the same wondrous sound of long-missed voices. And there they would be - smiling faces, full of love light to welcome, opening arms for tender, timeless embrace. "Stay a while, but then go live your life. We will always be here. Visit whenever you need to."
A place of wonder, who lives behind that door and why do they live in a hotel? Had they sought refuge in its beauty? Yes, yes they had and here they would stay until they were ready for the world again.
Nature was making a comeback. Flowers grew up around the old hotel, giving it life and colour after years of decline. The derelict hotel that had quashed the habitats of countless insects and wild flowers when it was built was now being reclaimed by their ancestors. It was a miracle.

It was only when Nada left in that drizzly morning that she realised something had truly come to life.To be clear, everything at the Grand Miracle hotel still looked the same when she opened her umbrella, but what she found in it was… incredible. The watch grandpa had always worn, was there, and instead of time, it told… the future.
Oooh, this is such a great idea for sketching/writing on a journey! Always love seeing the process behind someone's art too. The final picture is great and I love the challenge! ✍️✨
Great pics on a trip to London even if it included some drunks . Every minute counts so enjoy every minute you can in any way you can enjoy xxx

Lovely post. Thanks for sharing your process and your inspirations. I especially love the clocks!
Travelers, unpacked.
Walls, lives, cracked.
Loves, lost, lacked.
Memories, bricks, stacked.
Miracles found here?
Who might appear?
Love drawing near?
Heartbreak, I fear.
Caught a rift.
Floating, adrift.
Slowly I sift
time, light, lift.
Reunited by fate.
Timely, not late.
Together, create.
Love, beyond date.
Loved this challenge ✍️ hope you had fun in LONDON! Cx

Grand Miracle Hotel:
‘Bring the suitcase with your dreams.
Even the tangles of tattered ones
tumbled up, and shoved in.
Even the squeezed in ‘too much’ ones,
straining at the seams.
I’ve reserved you the best, sweet child.
You hold the key.
You’ll sleep on starlight tonight;
you can rest safe in me.’

It stood GRAND and TOWERING over the street below and had presence all of its own but really the magic was inside.
If you stood still you could almost see all the people that had moved in and out over its time like the sparks and bangs of a firework.
Grand’ miracle hotel
